These Terms of Service govern your use of the McDaniels Consulting and Financial Services website and client portal. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or portal. Last updated: July 2, 2026.
We provide accounting, tax and bookkeeping services through this website and your client portal. The specific scope, fees and deliverables of any work are set out in your individual engagement agreement, which prevails over these general terms wherever they differ.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, for all activity under your account, and for the accuracy and completeness of the information and documents you provide. Please notify us promptly at info@mcdanielsconsulting.ca if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
You agree to use the site and portal only for lawful purposes and not to upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, or use it to infringe the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms.
In line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we send commercial electronic messages only with your consent or where the law otherwise allows. Every such message identifies us and includes an easy way to unsubscribe. Transactional messages about your account or engagements are part of the service and are not promotional.
The content, design and software of this website and portal are owned by McDaniels Consulting and Financial Services or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use them only as needed to receive our services. Documents and information you upload remain yours; you grant us the permissions needed to process them and deliver your services.
Our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and as set out in your engagement agreement. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted here with its effective date; your continued use of the site or portal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
